TK/Kindergarten Readiness Series

Does your child need a boost with their social-emotional and motor skills to be successful when they start school?

Each day, children enjoy three hours to explore, grow, learn, and move in an engaging, supportive environment. This extended time allows us to go deeper than our weekly group sessions and provide meaningful learning experiences in a small-group setting.

Designed specifically for 4.5–6-year-olds, this program offers abundant opportunities to build the skills needed for success in a larger classroom. Sessions take place in our sensory gym, where full-body movement and active play are intentionally woven into the learning process.

With individualized attention in a small group, children participate in interactive games and hands-on activities that strengthen the foundational skills necessary to attend, participate, and thrive in a TK/kindergarten classroom.

What Children Will Develop:
  • Early executive functioning skills

  • Social emotional development for successful group participation

  • Self-regulation skills

  • Foundations of handwriting through sensory-motor play

  • Core strength for fine and gross motor development

  • Bilateral coordination

  • The ability to complete multi-step (3-step) projects

  • Following a group plan

 Life Hacks for Kids Series
Social Emotional made fun!

Could your child benefit from:

  • Explicitly learning the hidden and unspoken social rules?

  • Developing their own executive functioning tools and strategies?

  • Understanding their nervous system so they know how to calm and regulate themselves?

This program provides a powerful social-emotional and executive functioning boost for children ages 6–12.

Sessions take place in our sensory gym, where full-body movement and active play are intentionally woven into the learning process. Executive functioning skills are integrated directly into social learning, helping children apply strategies in real-time.

In a small group with individualized support, children participate in interactive games and cooking activities—giving them meaningful opportunities to practice what they’re learning in the moment.

Parent education is a key component, so you can confidently carry over strategies at home and support lasting growth.

Kids Will Learn To:

  • “Read the room” and interpret social cues

  • Take others’ perspectives

  • Join play successfully

  • Recognize unexpected behaviors and understand their impact

  • Stay with a group plan while remaining flexible

  • Make thoughtful choices during conflict

Short Term Intensive Individual OT Services

Does your summer schedule make it easier to schedule a short-term cluster of individual OT sessions?

Many children make significant progress with a focused burst of one-on-one occupational therapy, followed by a personalized home program to maintain momentum.

This option can be especially helpful for families who:

  • Live in areas with limited access to OT services and are visiting for specialized care

  • Have busy summer travel plans that make weekly sessions too inconsistent for meaningful progress

Let’s schedule a time to discuss your family’s unique needs.

Amy McConnell

“Tonya's work with my first grade students was transformative. She is brilliant with children, combining warmth, keen observation, and exceptional communication skills. Her thoughtful, adaptive approach fosters authentic behavioral shifts, benefiting both individual students and the entire classroom community."

Jai Flicker

"My daughter had an amazing time while participating in the Life Hacks for Kids program. Each day, she emerged happy, energized, and excited to return. She loved learning new skills and concepts, especially since they were presented in such a fun, empowering manner. Tonya's group was exceptional, not only for my daughter but for us as parents as well. The parent education aspect, particularly the insights on Hidden Rules, offered valuable tools and perspectives that enhanced our overall experience."

Cat Austin

My child came back from every group thrilled and he appears much more positive about things, especially his relationship with his brother. Now he and I have some common language and I'm able to give him hints to remind him of the things he learned in group.”
